Google has announced a major update to its Gemini AI assistant, adding an infinite scroll to the chat history in the web panel. The feature allows users to have a smoother experience away from manual pagination while browsing back through conversations.

In addition to better navigation, Gemini's recent revision allows the AI to remember and refer to prior interactions. This means that users can have more natural conversations where Gemini is aware of talking points from previous conversations. If a user referenced a topic before, they can now simply ask Gemini to summarize or build upon the previous conversation without needing to prompt Gemini with context. ​

Privacy and Accessibility Take Center Stage in Gemini's Latest Update

Privacy is still a foundational element of this update. Users have full control over their chat history, with options to view, delete, or decide how long their chats are stored. Users can even choose to store no chats at all, if they want, by disabling the memory feature in the Gemini Apps Activity settings in the Google “My Activity” dashboard.

At the present time, this feature is offered in English to Gemini Advanced subscribers signed up for the Google One AI Premium Plan, via the Gemini web and mobile apps. In the future, Google plans to expand the feature availability to include additional languages and integrate it into Google Workspace Business and Enterprise.
